Approach
This global Insurer looked to accelerate its Digital Health footprint in Asia, prioritise markets for innovation, and scout for HealthTech ventures that met specific Therapeutic and Category objectives
Strategic Implication
Working with the insurer’s regional leadership, and country level personnel, we conducted a digital health readiness study in the four markets to establish overall viability of Digital Health. We then analysed each markets HealthTech ecosystem in detail. A key part of the project was enabling the insurer to prioritise which Digital Health categories and therapeutic areas would support their business strategy. We delivered this through analysis of WHO country level disease prevalence data, level of HealthTech investment in different categories, and overall volume of ventures by Therapeutic area
After identifying cardio, oncology and diabetes, as the top health concerns in the four markets, we then delivered a Scouting mission that determined exact HealthTech start ups capable of delivering on the insurer’s strategic objectives around scale and frequency of use
