United States HealthTech Ecosystem Landscape Q3 2020

The USA ecosystem closed a record US$11.5B in venture capital funding despite a slight shrinkage in deal volume down to 333 deals. This excludes all M&A and IPO deal activities. We can report that, as at the end of the third quarter of 2020, the United States cumulative funding into digital health ventures has exceeded the same period in 2019 by 75%. This trend is in complete contrast to the other primary regional ecosystems which have witnessed a slow down in funding. We also focus our analysis on the venture pipeline maturity, category focus, therapeutic priorities and noteworthy deals, exits, partnerships and investors.
